Mission Statement
Root Causes is an incubator for students interested in innovative social drivers of health interventions through service, advocacy, education and research. We organized around creating clinic-community partnerships to reduce barriers impacting access to healthy foods, housing, and environments, as well as providing support for voter registration and safe exercise participation.
Serve in the Durham community within programs that strive for social justice and better health outcomes
Advocate through policy initiatives in Durham community and working with the Duke community on campus-wide changes
